Should Larry Brown take the job?

All indications are that Larry Brown, former coach of the 03-04 NBA champion Detroit Pistons, will be taking the head coaching duties for the New York Knicks. Should he?

I'm not too much into the NBA, but what does he have to loose? I am sure he will end up making more $$$.

Time with his wife and children, that's all.

He stands to make $10 million a year if he takes the job, although I find it highly unlikely he'd stay around to complete the rumored 5 year contract.

tell me about it.

Just imagine the strain it puts on him and his family though. I know he doesn't get to spend nearly as much time with them as he'd like. And yeah, the season is only roughly 6 months long, but thier job lasts long before and long after the season begins and ends. You definitely have to have a strong, dedicated, stable woman to make it last through it all.

My wife would walk I am sure. How old is this guy? I could see working every single day for five years @ 10M per year. I'd make the sacrifice. 50M will buy me a load of retirement happiness..

Larry Brown is 64, he's one of the best to ever do it. His wife has dealt with it this long, im sure she'd put up with it for another year or two, im sure that's all he'd stick around for.
