went to the junk yard today to see what i can score. saw three 6th gen mc but they are all ls or basic ss, yuck no ground effect! about couple yard away i saw a 5th gen grand prix with a louver scoops on the hood. so here's what i scored hood louver scoops, turbo badges, and down pipes. i did pull out the turbo but end up leaving behind. think im going to put the scoop on my jeep and sell the rest cuz i done some research and found out they build about 3000 of the turbo coupe and sedan. there's probably less than 3000 turbo gp out there now.

 

Sweet! Those louvers are the same thing that BAHDEETS is going to use to evacuate heat from his Monte.

I remember that too. Didn't we try to talk him out of it? Because of the whole water dripping into the engine bay thing?

Wasn't it trewyn15 that also came up with those louvers a while back and everyone told him not to put them on his Monte? I still think they'd look good side by side in the middle of the hood.

the louvers actually came with the wire mesh and drip pan. i'm not going to be using the pan cuz i need lot of cold air coming in. under the hood it's real hot in the jeep. it's your imagination taz lol the turbo is just dirty. took me over an hour to get the turbo out cuz it real tight how the turbo is mounted not only that i didn't have the right tool and sockets.

btw i also got these badges. think they would look real unique on someone's turbo monte carlo. i would send one of the badge to reflective concepts and have him make an overlay for it and put "monte carlo" where the grand prix is.

 

So wait why didnt you take the turbo? Louvers look great, nice score on those.
