If you have an Android phone download Tune-in Radio.

Better yet. Go to Pandora, create an account and put in your favorite hard rock band. Let it do the magic.

our local rock stations suck for the most part, some are better than others but most are a mix of classic & newer rock... actually my biggest complaint is its all the same, every day. although i'm always thankfull for our local stations when i have to travel out of their range... alot of the so called stations are really godawfull horrible.

anyways, we've got ( in my favorite order)

wzzo 95.1
WZZO-FM 95.1
103.7 wnnj
WNNJ.com 103.7 WNNJ-FM
107.1 the bone
WWYY-FM 107 the Bone - The Valley's Real Rock Station
99.9 the hawk
99.9 The Hawk - The Valley's Classic Hits Station

Chicago really doesn't have a "hard rock" station. Q101 is mostly alternative rock, and 97.9 plays a lot of older rock.

Try this...
1CLUB.FM Free Internet Radio - G93 (Hard Rock)

I've never used it, but it's worth a shot.

No good hard rock stations I can think of. I usually listen to 105.9 in the car and switch between that, a CD and my SD card. At work we listen to the Boneyard on satellite radio.

I don't really listen to the radio - just the iPod in the car. We used to have a station called Jack FM - 104.3? But I think it changed.

Well here we've got

* 97.5 WONE
* 98.5 WNCX (Classic Rock)

and of course we've got The Buzzard (100.7 WMMS), but they play current stuff, nothing really metal.

Sometimes I listen to 98.5, but my favorite is Majic 105.7 (60's and 70's hits)...real old school!
