Wow... looking for a sound suppressor for a semi-automatic... I hope that's legal in your state or that's very self-incriminating! They cost as much as the gun if not more.....

My dad sold most of the guns... just didn't have a big use for them, neither of us really used them, we don't hunt, so we kept a single shot .410 shotgun, a .30-.30 rifle that's lever action, a .38 revolver and .22 target pistol. We live in a safe neighborhood so we don't need too many guns. Thanks for sharing your collection!

Taurus PT709 Slim everyday carry gun
Taurus PT 1911

Plus 3 shotguns and 7 rifles. I am also picking up an AR-15.

Yeah, its legal- you just have to get that $200 tax stamp and do all the background check paperwork and such- seems like even the cheapest ones start around $500-600, with the better ones being over $1k (definitely more than I'd want to spend on it).

We live in a safe neighborhood so we don't need too many guns.
As do we- I do most of it as a hobby; something fun to go and shoot- modify, clean, etc- just like cars. However, I've always been of the belief that even in a very safe, upscale neighborhood- bad people still can get in. Also, I'm of the belief that I'd always rather be over-prepared than under prepared; hence why I got my CCW and daily carry (although I almost never carry a backup gun)- and why I have the shotgun for the house. The rest of the guns are locked up for the range mostly.

I LOVE the punisher grips!

50cal
Thats an amazing gun- mind if I ask how much it cost you? I'd think that one gun would probably cost more than the whole rest of the collection!

My first pistol was a hi point. That thing never jammed or failed.

Some of you guys must live in some bad neighborhoods.... of course, some people will say we old car guys are stupid for trying to keep something that old running anyway.... it just takes a certain mentality to understand. Some of you guys look like you could invade a 3rd world country though.

$3,500 in gun and $3,000 in the scope killer deal!
That gun price isn't as bad as I would've thought- whats the longest range you've shot it?

I used to have a few glocks but as soon as has held and shot a XD-M i sold the glocks!
See, I'm the exact opposite- I have a buddy with a couple of Kimber 1911's, and XD and an XDM, and I still liked the glock better. Although, I have to say- the trigger on the Kimber was amazing- but I'll take the trade of a long trigger pull for not having any external safeties.

I'm sure the other people with gun collections would agree that the bulk of their guns are just something fun to go shoot at the range. Take for example that .50 cal- that thing has no practicality for self or home defense; but it would be a blast at the range.

On the other hand, I think it is important for everyone to have some sort of firearm for protection- because you can pretty much garauntee the bad guys will. Doesn't matter what kind of neighborhood you live in- people get killed and burgalurized in high end neighborhoods as well.
