And it's a close one coming in tight out of turn number 4! Two Chevrolet Monte Carlo's have pulled ahead of the others, they are really pouring it on...

Okay so we are going to have one day of voting "Today" Sat. the 13th of June to determine a winner between the 2 members of the Petroliana photo contest. Which picture do you like which has a Petroliana "Gas, oil" automotive theme. Currently out of the 4 submissions there is a tie in the voting between 2 and we need to resolve this.

Please take a moment to vote for your favorite photo from the 2 selections. The winner will determine the new photo contest theme starting this Monday.

I was at a stall on what to think of for a subject if I would have won this one.
Beside that I am no longer at home so for me to take a photo would be difficult. Unless I use my rental car They gave me a Brand new Chevy Cruze again and It is my favorite color too. I wish I had a 3 sticker to put on it. :rotfl:

And by a bumper it's the Turbocharged Monte Carlo edging out DriverNumber3 as they cross the finish line...

Unbelievable our forums reigning 3 time consecutive photo contest champion has been narrowly handed a defeat, Dale Sr. falls. he should not have pitted at Eddie's gas station for as long as he did, those lovely girls distracted him.

Anyway, nice run everyone, that was a fun theme. Thanks for participating and thank all of you other members for supporting this thread with te voting, cat calls and haranguing each other.

My photo was just something I shot at this remote gas station in Arizona. There were many better shots available, but I never took any, this was just one when I popped the hood to let the engine bay air out and cool down while getting a bite to eat and stretch my legs out. The place was pretty trippy, they had so much going on there, it was like a bad acid trip. here are a few pictures from there. There was even range to go out and shoot machine guns for $50 off into the desert...:eek::nono::cool:

The new contest will start tomorrow and will run until Saturday night. So should you have a moment, blow the dust off your camera lens and take your Monte out on a little purposeful recreational drive. Who knows your photo might have what it takes for you to be the next contest winner, you up to the challenge, you have what it takes, good, we can't wait to see your submissions.
