Hey all, just wondering what you think of Chevy's attempt to match the sales of the 05/06 Rustangs with the '07 Camaro. I myself don't care for it, I think it's too modern looking and should have been built under a different manu. name, but i wanna see what everyone else thinks.

From what I understand it isnt going to be that agressive looking (I think that is a fan photoshop of the possible SS). I will be getting one when it is released. Camaro is my first car and I regret not having one in my driveway everyday. Also looking forward to the 6.0 being in it. 400+HP should make my pants happy.

Would it have been such a crying shame to make an edition of the Monte with this many ponies under the hood?
It may have even outsold the Impala for '06?

I thought the new camaro wasn't coming into production until 2009. The pictures I have seen don't look like that one. I actually like the way they look on chevy's site. Also, like rj said, why couldn't they have put the 6.0 in the monte carlo? And maybe made in RWD for once for crying out loud. Who makes a FWD sports car, seriously?

I dug a little deeper into the concept's history, and found a few differing pics. The first one is the one I saw on Speed TV first when they originally unveiled the concept, but I found a few others that aren't too bad, take a look.

OK. 2008 is the scheduled debut for the new Camaro. The only pic on this thread that is not an artist's rendering prior to the release of the concept car is this one, which is the actual concept car:
I can't wait for this arrival. I think it is a beautiful modernized interpretation of the classic '69 Camaro after which it was modeled.

Don't like it at all.It's too modern looking. Ford did a very good job with the new Mustang design. But, I will be trading my 05 Mustang in for a new Challanger. Dodge deff hit the nail on the head with that one!!!! So, that car will be my show car and my Monte will be my everyday car.
