Needing a new personal defense weapon!!
 

Looking for some input from all of you fine members. Been perusing all the local gunshops searching for a new conceal carry weapon for myself. Constraints are:

Subcompact
40 S&W (i would say 45 but 40 is easier to find in my area)
around 500 US dollars (more or less, just not over 600)

Ive narrowed my search to either a Gen 4 Glock 27, or a Smith and Wesson M&P Shield 40. Only problem is none of the shops around here have had a Shield 40, just the 9, but I like the way it feels in my hands. I'm leaning more towards the Glock for durability and reliability purposes, but maybe some of you can turn me on to something different. Maybe if enough people give me some more suggestions Ill add a poll to this and get a vote going. Thanks in advance for the input!
