That's like the Chevy SS and the Pontiac G8 those darn things just stay right up there is price? I wish they would get them reasonably priced once. Either that or I need to win the lottery.

Good morning guys.

-9 degrees this morning. Got into work early hoping to leave early. Snow is just moving in this morning (current radar below) and will continue through tonight. We're under a winter weather advisory and are expecting 4-8" where I am. Weather is saying there could be some periods of 1-2"/hour snowfall rates. A lot of our areas schools are closed today. A good swath North of us is under a winter storm warning and could see 12"+. Then later this week we could see wind chills in the -30s to -40s.

Yeah, GM has a problem with overpricing stuff but it's really more so with the specialty vehicles. Same thing happened with the SSR.

Good morning guys.

Lower Michigan snow reports from yesterday:
15.8" - Wexford
15.0" - Manistee (26" snow depth on ground)
13.0" - Clare
12.0" - Montmorency
10.0" - Huron
8.8" - Saginaw
8.0" - Kent (12" snow depth on ground)
8.0" - Lapeer
7.4" - Midland
3.9" - Detroit Metro Airport

-1 degree this morning. I measured last night after the snow stopped - we only ended up with 3.5" at home (we have roughly 8" on the ground now) but NWS says we got 5" and there were other spots in our viewing area that got 6-10". Roads were pretty bad yesterday - the below pic was my drive home mid-afternoon yesterday (there's 4 lanes there). A lot of schools are closed today as well. Could see ~1" of lake effect snow today/tonight and we'll be under a wind chill warning from 6pm today til 11 am Thurs as we are expecting wind chills of -30 to -50 in our area.

I have driven on these kind of roads before. Stay safe out there. So far down here we have been fortunate to only have cold for now.

Good evening everyone , exspect to see record colds throughout the country. Please everyone be safe. No sense of bragging about how cold its here where I live , just saying it gonna be brutal. And o even seen this hearty Minnesotan today driving a clean Oldsmobile cutlass supreme convertible minus the road salt. Yep it's -16 outside.

Good morning guys.

-9 degrees, feels like -33 in the greater Ann Arbor area, still trending down for a few more hours. We've been below 0 since midnight and won't actually back get above 0 until Friday morning.

Wow, down here in the Banana Belt it's on -5degrees this morning
Yesterday I ventured out to check on a Pool table that someone indicated needed to be recovered and adjusted. However although level they said it had a bump in it could be the slate is chipped under the felt top. I couldn't see any thing from beneath the thing so I would guess the slate may have been damaged in that spot or there is a foreign material under the felt.

Heat wave

There was several major pile ups on multiple highways near Grand Rapids, MI yesterday including a 24-vehicle pile up on M-6. Both were due to the poor conditions from ongoing heavy lake effect snow. This video here is dash cam of a close call a trucker had approaching the pile up on M-6 - skills and luck were on his side. Also a good example of how much the snow reduces visibility.

MistreSS that was some pretty good driving, he definitely was lucky. I haven't ventured out on the roads today but it was like that here yesterday. Heat wave coming soon, and should be a nice weekend. I did finally get settled with Chevrolet on my truck and will be returning next Thursday so I've been busy checking out new trucks online all week . Haven't settled on anything but my wife wants a red line or a midnight edition

Good morning guys.

-18 degrees, feels like -35 this morning. Broke records yesterday and will be breaking more today. One of our area power companies had an incident at a station in SE MI yesterday so last night, at the request of our Governor, they sent out alerts via email and phone asking everyone to turn their heat down to 65 degrees or less to help with demand. We'll see a warming trend starting tomorrow - up to 52 degrees by Monday.
