it was cold this morning!!!

but it's supposed to go up to the plus's this weekend, maybe the snow will start to melt :) yay! can't wait :)

We may be getting 50 degree temps here in the Chicago land area (I live in Highland, IN). I will be passing on the car wash though since all the ice and snow will be melting it just seems pointless. I just can not wait until the snow stops and I do not have to wear a coat.

To answer Kids questions,
I am on the stock GoodYear RS-A tires and they are not the best. I will definitely be replacing them hopefully with a new set of 18s.
No chains, I believe it is illegal here.
I think the FWD would do better in the snow/cold. I have not had any issues driving since picking my car up a few weeks ago.

Finally here in Chicago land we are going to have mild weather!!! I am sooo happy - I hope all the snow will melt and I hope it rains and washes all that nasty salt away!!! This Saturday I am going car shopping again. Maybe because of the mild weather I will get a good deal on trading in my Mini so I can finally get myself a Supercharged Monte!!!

I am hoping for the rain too. I hope it is 50 degrees and it poors. All the snow will melt away! Then when it drys up Mr. Burns will get a good detailing.

Don't forget the added bonus of a down poor or good steady rain.

Lots of rain = road salt washed off the road surface.

Monte Carlos can come out and play.

The factory Goodyear RS-A tires are crap in winter. I also found them pretty bad on wet streets after a down pour of rain too. I dumped them for a set of Toyo's. Not a whole lot of improvement in snow. Next winter I think I'll have a set of snow tires on some different rims. To save my Dale Jr rims the beating of another winter.

I can't wait for it to warm up tomorrow. The Monte is in desparate need of a wash. The entire car has changed color from red to salt-stain white. I would love to run it through a car wash. But as you are all aware, wet car + 20 degree temps = frozen car.
