Mike, sorry to hear the news. Give my regards and best wishes to your family. You are in our thoughts.

Space. The bike was stolen a few months ago and has yet to be found/returned. I am very angry. Especially now that it is warm, perfect bike weather, I see tons of bikes and get angry because someone else has mine.

Hi `Matt,
I sure hope you had insurance to cover your loss : (
I really dislike thieves  I can understand stealing `only
if it is to get food for your family.
I don't know if their arms should be cut `off, but
I think when caught/convicted that a thief should have
their hands tied/handcuffed 4 the rest of their existence. :D
Are you going 2 replace your bike ?, and if so, what will
you get ? Sure hope they catch the one that stole it,
and let you in the cell with him/her for a few minutes :D
I don't like being angry, it rob's you of life, but
I get upset every time I heard/see the news of
our World 2 day : (
Good Luck

Mr. Dr. KidSpace Ph.D, Esq.
Thanks for the words on encouragement; however, I don't think I'll be seeing her anymore :(
Yes I hate thieves as well. I worked and sacrificed for all that I am and have...why can't everyone else do the same? I am much too passive to hurt people physically. I am a healer by trade and by nature.

hi peeeeople!

mike, i'm sorry to hear about your loss. you're right, regardless of how close you were, they're still family and it still hurts.

space, glad to hear you're gonna be getting some well-deserved time off soon! what are you gonna do with yourself??

i just found out that instead of driving to richmond at 4 a.m. tomorrow, i get to sleep in, work in the office for a couple hours then fly from here to baltimore and will get picked up and drive the rest of the way. which is FINE by me! i hate driving the truck/trailer and i would have gotten stuck with the chevy i think. so i'm happy about that. i found out that my buddy from california is coming to the event in richmond, so i'm excited to see him. and our old mechanic is here today, the one who lost his son a couple months ago, and i haven't seen him or talked to him in a couple of weeks so it is so nice to see him and catch up.

it is buuuusy here today!! yikes! i should probably get (back) to work!!

Jamie, tell your boss not to work you so hard.

Better yet, tell him I, JJ, Master of the known Universe and a few that still need to be discovered, demands that he lets you off work early........

or for a restroom break. Which ever comes first.:D:D:D

Well, I have an interview for a part time job today at 4pm. It's at quick print shop about 20min from my house (I am happy that it is in my field). The guy sounded cool on the phone and seems to be flexible as to the terms. It might turn into a full time job but they do not offer health insurance (something that I really need), so if I get this job I will start working part time and still search for a full time perm position with benefits.

The Popcorn King 05-27-2009 01:18 PM

There you go. Something is better then nothing. And like you said. It might turn into full time.

ChevySSGirl 05-27-2009 01:20 PM

good luck amy, i agree something is better than nothing and with part time you'll have time to look and interview for a full time job, without having to take time out of work.

AwesomeSS 05-27-2009 01:29 PM

Yep, and I still can collect some unemployment too. I just can't earn more than unemployment pays.
