Good morning all! Not much planned for today. My youngest son was awake at 0200 so... yeah...

Morning All. Another cold day in N. AL. About 20 degrees F. when I got up. Guess my bike isn't going to get much use for a few weeks. No end in sight to the cold spell.

And I thought I had it bad when the dog woke me up at 0500...

One of the guys on my team at work has a newborn. He's moving pretty slow in the morning.

I woke up at 0300 with the inability to breath. That's when I know its winter time.
while eating breakfast, my temporary crown fell out of one of my teeth, so I bet you can't guess who's going to be late to work/ going to the dentist.

well yesterday was amy's first day at the new job, she felt good about it, think we need to get her some reading glasses.

Then just as i crawl into bed my bro calls his burban lost 3rd and 4th... so needed his car back, so we had to barow amy's parent's van but het i might get a burban that needs a trans cuz he's done... granted he had it rebuilt when he bought it and well started towing a 3-4k lbs boat with only 4k miles on it so that was probably the reason for it demise

Thank God for heated leather seats. Keeping butts warm since 1992.

Amen to that, man.

The Monte is the first time I've ever had heated seats. They really help to take the chill away while you're waiting for the car's heater to warm up.

Hows everybody doing? Im tryin to decide if im goin to bed or back out to the shop. I made enough money last nite and yesterday to cover me this week so I can do what I want the rest of the week. I also finally got a payment for the 69 chevy I repainted almost a year ago. The owner came over to get a radiator put in the same truck and then I wouldnt get give him his truck back till I seen some cash. He tryed givin me that, my kids need to eat line. I told him my kids been hungry since I got the truck done. Ive got five kids and 2 on the way. Its there turn to eat, rite?

I'm with ya man. My grandfather once owned his own little garage in a small town. He always got the sob stories too. Got to the point where he decided he can't pay the bills with IOU's any longer. Sold the garage and got a job at the Windsor Ford factory.

You can't put food on the table with IOU's either. We all want to be the nice guy and give a person a break in hard times. But sometimes you gotta be a hard-azz. You got bills to pay too.

That's right.
Man, im jealous about the seat warmers, mine doesn't have have them :(

Nothing like cold leather in the cold winter to wake you up every morning.

Justin, it's meant as a joke. A couple people continue to call me Moderator Taz. My official title is Assistant Administrator. But the user title bar would be a mile long. And I'm not putting "Ass. Admin" in a user title. LOL.

Evening Everyone.

I haven't really post today cause i have been doing so much reading about maybe swapping an L67 into the Jimmy. I think i might have found everything that i need to know, but might have to rethink it. It would take to much time to prep the Jimmy for the swap ( mostly trying to blend the 2 wire harnesses ). Its my DD and i really cant afford to have it down for so long.

I might have to hunt me down another 89 S10 and pull the engine and trans ( 4.3 and 700r-4 ) and rebuild them both once i get my garage next year. Yes, i do know how to rebuild either one.

Now that i think about it, i just might find me an 89 S10/S15 pull the engine and keep the shell. I will teach Jonny how to rebuild the stuff for my Jimmy. Then pull the engine/trans out of mine and have him rebuild that one and stab it into the truck shell. Why? He has been showing A LOT of interests in wanting one.

I think that would be great Father and Son bonding time.
