RocknSS04 06-20-2009 07:01 AM

Mornin' my MCF family.
POOL work today, then I get to lean up the yard and trim some limbs 2 make mowing easier. The storm that went thru yesterday left some debris, and there are probably some limbs down on the other side of the yard that I can't see from the house.
Then I get to start cutting out a bathroom floor where a tub faucet leaked in the wall and destroyed the floor. Rebuilding a bathroom. FUN (NOT!)
So what's on YUR agenda today?

Space 06-20-2009 07:38 AM

..Good Morning `Wayne,
Be thankful that you have the tools/knowledge to be able to do the
work yourself without having to hire a plumber...4 Sure...Big $'s.

J.J., Sure hope it's not a bad heater core ?
Keep us updated...Good Luck

skylark65 06-20-2009 09:13 AM

jj, maby a water drain in the cowl is cloged & water pooled inside the vent intake?
i dont know if thats possible. or maby your weatherstripping is dirty? my guess is no, but something like that can cause a leak. good luck finding whatever the problem is...

wayne, good luck on the bathroom fix-it. we had new tile put in our tub a few years ago, because whoever built the house put regular drywall behind the tile, the grout around the tiles leaked, and the drywall held the water like a pile of wet leaves. by the time we had the $ to fix it, the wall basicly fell down when we tryed to remove it. it also rotted all the insulation & there were ants in the studs in the exterior wall, we had to replace the studs, which sucked.
but its nice now, lol.

space, i hope you get a nice, relaxing day at the beach, you diserve it! :)

AwesomeSS 06-20-2009 09:49 AM

We lucked out last night with the storms. They passed to the north and south of us. Some areas got hit pretty bad. Huge trees uprooted and tree debris everywhere.

skylark65 06-20-2009 09:50 AM

wow, 105 degrees? idk, space, you might want to skip the beach, you might catch on fire before you make it to the water, lol.

summers goin good, i work when i want to, because im my own boss, lol. i went and looked for a "real" ( taxable ) job, but NO ONE is hireing around here, it sucks. ive been doing small time property maintaince in my neighborhood for a few years, for the people who vacation up here, because the "professional" lanscapers never show up. i currantly do 4 1 acre sized propertys, and im getting more customers all the time. i cut the lawn, weedwack around the house / plantings, & rake the clippings. @ around $ 75 a pop, i make more $ for 4 days of work than i could for a week at a real job, and the customers are saving around $100 from the no- show profecionals quote. plus with all the rain weve been having, i can barly keep up with my little push mower. i figure if i save up, by the end of the season i should have enuff $ to cover the years insurance for the monte, plus some gas & a little in my pocket :)

Space 06-20-2009 10:52 AM

Hi `Ryan,
That's good work and it's outside : )
The bums & I use to do work like that, plus
paint/clean/haul/move/wash boats/cars
etc. Plus it keeps U in shape.
The 105 is the heat index, but the temps are
already in the mid 90's : (
I don't mind the heat, but don't like the humidity.
Hope U make enough for Ins/Gas/Mod's & Fun
EnJoy your Summer 4-Sure
