Default GM tech 2 scan tool

I am hoping someone can help me with a unusual request. Does anyone own a GM scan tool or work at the dealership and can take me a picture of one ? I'm having issues with my 16 Silverado and they supposedly got a special tool from GM to diagnose the problem. Took 6 weeks to receive. I know what a scanner looks like ( snap on ,Mac, ect) just never actually seen the GM scan tool. I believe there trying to pull a fast one on me. If that is the case I will return truck under lemon law.

Hey bud, would this be what you are looking for. Lifted it off of eBay...

What is going wrong where you are down to using the Lemon Law option? But it is there for people to use. Best of luck!!

Thanks Zippy , my truck has electrical gremlins. The tpms keeps going off . So far they have replaced5 wheel sensors and the door lock remote sensor and light keeps coming back on. They even stated GM thought it was our fault with our devices and when we explained that only device we had in truck was cell phone. This will be 6th attempt with same problem . lemon law is only 3 times.

I believe a Tech2 is only good up until 2014s, they really might have had to get a new tool.

I'm not sure what they would have had to get. Maybe the MDI2 tool?

THe pics shared of the TechII are correct. I know a couple of guys that bought the $300-$400 Chinese ones from eBay/Amazon. They are good as the real deal. And the TechII only goes to 2014. After that, as Chibi mentioned, GM has you use a MDI device the works with a laptop, but that also requires a subscription with GM for it to work.

As for the issues with the truck, that is NOT sounding good. If it is still covered by the manufacturer warranty, you can take it to any GM dealer for service. Perhaps time for a second set of eyes.

With the problems it is having, any idea if it was ever a flood car? This just sounds pretty crazy.

Hopefully they will solve issue next week when I bring it.back in for repair. As for the truck we purchased it new and it's not been in any type of accident or flood , I appreciate all the replies and will keep you posted.
