How's your weather?
Well I don't know how I ended In Iraq from Ft. Worth but I somehow managed to. This was the temp from downtown Ft. Worth today and that is no photoshop there. It's horrible here with no end in sight. Were are somewhat used to this but its getting unbearable now. I work in a warehouse and you can forget about using a fan. That thing feels like a blowdryer on you. Just plenty of water.

I'm ashamed to say I felt sorry for myself when the temp. reached 104.

Now I feel bad about all my "It's so hot" jokes when we have only seen like 105 in NC!!!
That is hotter than two mice f***ing in a wool sock! It is so hot, John Boehner recommended installing a fan on the debt ceiling. the heat index was 120 today...it sucks working outside in it

Yep the heat seems like its everywhere and is attacking everyone! I found myself sweating while pumping gas today and I only put $20 in my tank lol. I work in different types of plants and the equipment and machinery that I work around makes it much worse. I was working at DOW chemical and they have a heat stress plan that you work for 15 minutes and break for 45 if its over 96° lol. We never got work done but got paid for sitting in the a/c. Construction workers and Industrial workers have it the hardest.

gee, during the heat wave we had a couple weeks ago we hit 101.5 with heat the heat index usually in the 120's. The store i work in has busted a/c, but only in my part, go figure. It's been busted for a month now and i must say its not exactly pleasant

I think were on path here to break the 40 day 100+ heat record. This is were we also start to get grass fires a ll over DFW.
The sad thing is seeing d-bags all over town with their windows rolled down still trying to show off their car. Really? In this heat? Idiots, they look stupider every time I see them. |
You mean trying to show off their car's loud stereo system? I don't get it - how does keeping the windows rolled down show off your car? Or did you mean show off the DRIVER? I prefer having non-tinted windows so everybody can see that it's me driving the coolest car in town, my '07 Monte!

Yeah show off the driver who's basically hanging out the window or too far back/low where you can't even see the driver.

Our heat hasn't been that bad but about once a week we get some crazy severe thunderstorm that hits the area. About once a week there is always some area that has lost power too from downed trees. We broke the record for July for the most rainfall - crazy.

We here in the Phoenix AZ valley are just plain hot.
Yesterday at my house, it hit 114 with 40% humidity. That is until a Monsoon wind/rain storm came thru, then it turns to 100% humidity, while staying just as hot. For the months of July thru Aug, the temp very rarely goes below 100 deg even at night. And it is not a DRY HEAT..... |
Hot here in Lansing too but I see other temps and feel I should be happy with what we got... High 90s and humid.
During the MIS car show it was 107 in the infield. |
