I think a gumball is like a Cannonball. ie Cannonball Run. First one there wins. There are some so called "gumball rallies" in the states but I think they are more like road rallies or poker runs. Looks like a neat vid. Have you seen Dust to Glory about the Baja 1000...very awsome.

Actually there is a movie called "The Gumball Rally" that was made in 1976. It stars Michael Sarrazin, Norman Burton, Gary Busey, John Durren, and Raul Julia. I enjoyed the movie and it is much like Cannonball Run.

The Gumball Rally movie was crap, not true to the real Cannonball Runs that went down in the 70's, I read a whole book about the Cannonball Run. As for the gumball rally and other rallies that go on now, they are charity events and costs lots of money to enter.
