Default gauges

I am looking at getting 3 gauges on my door panel, I have an L36 engine with no supercharger so I cannot monitor any boost, but I am curious what gauges I should put. I am looking at getting 3..

If you don't know what to scan, why would you want the gauges?

Monitoring your KR would be nice, then you can check your AFR, and I guess temps??

I second what blacksheep said. If you aren't really sure of what to monitor or have any real pursuing interest in monitoring something, it's a waste of money. I assume you're just doing it for vanity/to impress people?

what gauges do you already have? i was thinking the same thing with the volt gauge, water temp gauge,(not the half hot type guage) and maybe the oil temp gauge, kinda like the one member wayne posted in the forsale section! and get them mounted on the driver side pillar for easy viewing!!
i've seen what the other members have posted and i do trust their opinions, but i was just thinking of doing something like that!

I'd save your money and put it to something that will really help the car.

This.

Until you have something worth keeping track of it's a waste of what would likely end up being a couple hundred bucks which could go into a number of other things. On a stock Monte there's really nothing you need to monitor that the factory gauge cluster can't do.

I agree with the others that say you should save the money on something more useful. But I can also appreciate the fact that you want to make your car look cool and personalized to your taste.

The pillar guage pods usually come with 1 to 3 guages.

Your choices are:
-Volts
-Air/Fuel ratio
-Boost
-Fuel Pressure
-Nitrous Pressure
-Oil Pressure
-Oil Temperature
-Trans Temperature
-Water Temperature

Just to name a few.

Hooking them up and getting them working is a lot of time and expense just to get a cool look. But my theory is, it's your car and your money. If you want to install the guages to get the look you want, go for it. Things don't always have to be practical.
