That is good. Most of them get bull dozed and they build a stupid warehouse or subdivision. I'd like to see USA speedway here in Lakeland reopen but I don't think it will.

 

Yeah most do & its sad, but theres no 1/4 mile track around here to run at other than gateway so everyone resorts back to street racing which isnt good

 

Mike, Are they going to open drag strip or just the oval track ?

 

The drag strip is opening for sure sence they got a nhra date nxt year idk bout the oval

 

USA Speedway had it all. Oval short track, drag track, mud bogs and I'm not sure what else. They still run the drags and mud stuff but sold off the oval to an industrial park. It is too bad because they ran the Hooters cup there as well as street stocks and modifieds. The track has been closed for two seasons now and nothing has happened to it. Just sits there. Sad days.

 

Yeah it sux wen a perfectly good track just sets & rots away
