Good morning all! I am sitting here waiting on my shift to end... Past the halfway point at least! I will be lurking...

Miller the overnights are rough for sure glad to see your toughing it out.

Thanks man. I have worked 80 hours in the past five days. I don't really mind the overnights on a normal schedule, it's the EXTRA stuff that's getting to me. I would have to say that the 0300 to 0600 (local) is the worst. NOTHING happening at all.

Space - Liked the road pic! Would that be an awesome road to drive / ride or what???

Had fun last night - date night with my wife. Strolled around downtown at the 'Sidewalk Art Stroll'. A couple of the local brewries (Yellowhammer and Straight to Ale) were giving away samples of some of their brews. Yummy!! Eventually had dinner at a little Greek place right on the downtown square. Had the 'flaming cheese' appetizer (some kind of hard to get Greek cheese imported from Chicago; it sells out almost as soon as they get it in). Everyone around us said, 'what's that... what's that... what's that'.

Should be a good weekend. Gotta get some bike maintenance done. My old bike, the Honda VFR750, seems to be getting lower gas mileage lately for some reason. Need to check the air filter (buried under the gas tank- ugh) to see if it's clogged. Hope that's it. Then time to install PIAA driving lights on our new bike, the Yamaha FJR1300 you can see in my sig. And we have a friend visiting from AZ on Saturday. She's on a cross-country bicycle ride to raise money for a charity.

Hope you all have a great day. Sunny and muggy here but I'm not complaining; it's always worse somewhere else.

I would love to drive a sports car (like a ZR`1 : ) or even my skateboard would be a Wild Ride down that mountain with all it's turns/curve's and bends :eek:

Well, we survived "heat-pocalypse 2011" yesterday. It's cooling off starting today.

Space, I like that road. Looks like it could be fun. But I think I'd have the heebeejeebees the first time. You pretty much can't make a mistake can you? You either fall off a cliff, or crash into the side of the mountain. :eek: I'd want to take a drive in a brand new Camaro SS convertible on that road. :thumbsup:

Good Morning forum members and watchers. Missed the whole internet yesterday. Didnt even get on and check my mail. Long day at work and wore out when it was over. Say a prayer for all the hard working people doing road construction. I am glad I work in the lab and not on the road. They were about to die. Imagine the pavemnet they are laying is around 300F and its 115 outside. Give them a break and slow down today. Check in later and try to catch up.

Alright... all I have to do is paint the mod and do some nitty gritty forming.... opening a new thread for the unveiling.

I'm glad you are done with the Heat Lou, but we still have today and tomorrow with it :(

Today is already 99 degrees and the heat index says it feels like 112!!

it's hot here too mike. but i'm glad i'm not in the city! we've got a little breeze going up on the mountian, but it just feels like its bringing more hot air with it. damn glad i don't gotta be out on the roads today!

and justin, sounds like you wound up with one LOADED car. blackout looks good too!

Justin thanks for the pics it does look great. The black blends in so much better than the chrome. That is a really nice car you've got there.
We are getting a little break from the heat today thankfully.

We finally got some rain today, and also kept the temps down.

Thanks Guys, it's not perfect, has some rust in the typical wheel well spots but i plan on taking care of that, and a dent in the rear quarter,

we where looking for a monte mainly 5th gens mainly becuase they where in our price range ($2600) a few 6th gens but was comming up with crap, just sold or out of our price range, i came across this on craigslist, we went and looked at it test drove it, the family that owned it she worked at a local dealer and it was well taken care of, had new tires, struts, water pump, windshield,
we left with $1900 less in my pocket and a car richer no regrets,

Looks like it wants to rain here but none so far ...A little coller today. was 99 on the way home from work yesterday.

Amy, it rained here about 4:00pm. Dropping the temp down drastically. But adding to the humidity.

The glue on the velcro holding my trunk lid liner geve out from the heat we had this week. So I want to come up with something to hold it up a little more permanently than the original velcro.
