Which is exactly the daytime running lights?

Default Which is exactly the daytime running lights?

This is been buggin me for a while I've seen so many monte Carlos through out the years that have there low beam head lights as there day time running lights but my monte always been the high beam lights! Any idea y? Who here has there low beams as day time running lights and who has them as high beams?

I wish I could get mine turned off.... I believe 00-04 use the high beams and 2005 uses low beams.

2000 - 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Simply pull the DRL relay out of the fuse block under the hood and bend over pin 87. Why this works: Pins 87 and 30 are the two pins that are connected together when the relay is energized. Bending 87 over will still let the relay energize but since the pin is bent over, the DRL's don't come on. As long as the computer senses the resistance of the relay coil between the two trigger pins (85 and 86) it thinks all is OK and doesn't set any codes.
I did this on my 2005 monte carlo ss over three year ago . I cut the pin off

Jerry, I think I remember the 05's act differently than the rest of the cars. I would like to disable the darn thing though, have to look into that.

Just get an extra relay and try it.. I cut the 87 pin off. I didn't want to bend it over.. I used an extra relay to make sure it worked first..

That's what I did picked up a spare relay ..No more day time running lights ..
