I've never been under 20 mpgs in my Monte. That's driving like you want to drive around town (which, I've never been a really hard driver)

Taking it really easy on the highway, I can get 30-31, but I usually get 27 or so going back and forth to college.

The Torino gets 12-14 around town

I got 12.04 MPG in my 76 Monte on my round trip from Portland, Oregon to Tillamook, Oregon and back (went to a car show at the Tillamook Air Museum). Around town, I am averaging between 9 and 10 MPG (can't keep my foot out of it, lol).

well goin easy around town probably about 7-9.freeway idk havent taken it there yet.need work 1st..

and in town fun, almost watch gas gauge move.but with foot on it probably 5mpgs.not because its built or anything the carb is like a 710cfm on a stock 350 and it runs like poo' just waiting for it to die so i have a reason to start my 454 project. then i hope to get 5mpgs out of it.

Default My MPG Mileage going TO CRAP

I recently changed my Manifold Gasket myself (upper & lower). Since then I have had **** poor MPG...I'm talking going from City 22 before change to 16...I can't figure it out. I keep my car in great shape, just changed my Tranny Fluid and Filter...Well, at least I dont have OIL LEAKING INTO MY COOLANT ANYMORE!

Any one have any tips out there on why this dramatic change in MPG could be happening?
