Good buy, or should I stay away from it? This is the Monte I've been wanting since I bought my 06. I would mainly use it for a 2nd vehicle/winter DD and put my Monte away during the ugly months from November to April! Price seems kinda high @ $4995 (buy-it-now), but overall the car looks like it is in great shape.

It looks real clean Chris. I would try to get the detail about the accident. If you did a car fax on my 05 it would come up with 1 accident from the stupid fender bender I had in a parking lot 1.5 years ago - no frame damage and got all brand new parts from GM but it will still show up as a red mark on the car fax.

 

Amy, thanks for the info. I think the whole CARFAX is a bunch of BS, someone can wreck a car and get it fixed without it being reported! So many people know someone that can do the work on the side and the CARFAX report won't show it in the fine details when it doesn't get reported....

 

I know and that sucks - I wanted mine reported cause I wanted to nail the guy that hit me. He was illegal and didn't have a drivers license and he got off scott free which really pissed my off. The stupid cop could have followed him out of the parking lot onto the main road and then pull him over - didn't happen. At least my insurance company went after him and I did get my deductible back.

I'm curious how much front end damage was done. I'm not a fan of carfax either. Could've been $100 worth of damage, or $1000.

 

If you look at what I posted it was enough damage the car was towed. As long as the repairs were done correctly I would still buy it, but for a lower price.

Carfax is a joke imo my car shows up as a minor left front colision & everyone on here knows mine was rolled several times so i nvr use carfax anymore, & the air bag blown ususaly means it was wrecked pretty good best thing is to just look at it to rlly know if its any good
