well maybe thats a sign of how much my tranny sucks i mean it doesnt feellike its struggling at that rpm and i can barely touch the pedal when cruising to maintain speed. i will try to video it for you guys but i know it is definetly in 4th gear not 3rd. does the column shift have different OD gearing?

Assuming you have a 5th gen Monte, you sure your speedo or tach aren't off? I've never had rpms that low at those speeds.

The location of the shift handle has nothing to do with the number of gears in your transmission. Column shift or floor shift, it's the same transmission.

I assumed so but idk what my difference is my car has like no options. wait it was lower when my ac compressor had freeon in maybe its due to it being inactive?
