And then I get PICKED ON because of the "funny look" I got from the guy sitting next to me:


So let me explain. This was the dinner for the SW Nationals of the Solstice/Sky Owners group in Lexington KY, in Aug. of '08. This pic' was taken at the end of dinner, when they had a charity auction of things different groups and vendors brought. Proceeds went to the Susan G. Comen Fund for breast cancer research ("Save the Ta-Ta's").

Several of us noticed this crab hat brought by the east coast group, along with a bunch of stuff from the White House, etc. So with a little prodding from Lady T & "Icky", I bought the box of STUFF for $100. I IMMEDIATELY dug out the good stuff, the crab hat, the blue rine stone studded flip-flops, the white house staff lanyard, a pencil, and the funnel. The rest is history, as shown.

Since "Icky" (Elizabeth) donated a $20 towards it, she went home with the crab hat until we met again, which was this past summer in the Smokeys.

So we got the hat back last summer, and this me is then:

So just before the dinner, we had a group shot. This was me lining up:

"WOW! I can see GREAT from here!"


AHHHH! But I'm not the ONLY one wearing funny hats!

That was Diane "Ihawk" above with the "turf" hat.

So after all this, it's obvious that this Crab Hat has become a tradition. This can NOT be THE only crazy hat that has tradition. I've shown you mine, now I want to see yours. What's your "crazy hat"????

I have no hat tradition, but this guy does.

 

I don't have a crazy hat. But I did photoshop the crab hat onto my picture.

Along with another picture I could help my self to adding text to.
