The functional hood idea is very interesting. Something I wish I had on my Monte. But I'd like to know how this air intake is set up. Is the hole in the top bypassing the filter inside the Thrasher intake? Maybe they have a second filter attached to the port on the hood? How do they have it set up to drain water away, without water going into the engine or air filter?




Edit: Never mind. I think I know how they got the top of the filter box working now. Still gets the filter wet though.

 

Not a Monte, but you don't see many of these anymore. I'd consider it if I were in the market for a cheap daily driver.

I just find it hard to believe these cars from the 70's have 50K miles. How can you prove it? Unless they have maintenance paperwork for all years. Heck my wifes 71 has low miles in reality for a 41 year old car. 107K. I just think its their word against yours, he said she said thing. Unless they can really prove it.
I really like that coke machine. Seen many around. Are they really that costly or is it jsut because it's a Dale version.

 

I'll be honest with you, I don't believe 50,000 miles just from the ad either. I'd have to see the car in person. I didn't get the price in my original post. It's $6800, so if it looked good enough in person I wouldn't even worry about the mileage being original.

 

the lady that used to have these put a picture of it on dale earnhardt chevrolet's facebook page asking if they wanted to buy it from her awhile back, she said the air brush on the back was like $10,000 which seems pretty high priced for it even tho it is really cool.
