Jalopnik's Travis Okulski gets the ride of his life.

So, full disclosure here: Travis Okulski at Jalopnik is my friend. We have lunch. We get coffee. We make fun of ridiculous things. And possibly not ridiculous things. He name-checks Jerry Seinfeld. I love Travis. He's a good dude. Period.
A good dude who pissed off Jeff Gordon last year. You may remember the weak Pepsi "viral" video that featured a disguised Gordon taking a hapless "car salesman" on a wild test drive. It was obviously fake. Everybody called it, including Travis, who went on TV and said so.
This irked #24 immensely, who took it to mean Travis thought he couldn't drive like the video showed. So Gordon and Pepsi and ex-Jalopnik boss Ray Wert and current Jalopnik boss Matt Hardigree conspired to give Gordon a chance at revenge.

Spike Jonze's coolest movie is 3 minutes long
Never mind Her—this will always be our favorite.
By Alex Nunez March 3, 2014 / Photos by EMI Music
Spike Jonze took home the Best Original Screenplay Oscar for Her on Sunday night, but no matter how high and far Jonze goes as a feature filmmaker, I'll always think his best work is this three-minute epic starring and old Crown Vic. Oh yeah, and the Beastie Boys.
Let's watch "Sabotage":
This alone has us rooting for him to win the Oscar.

I have no dog in the fight for tonight's Academy Awards—I missed my pool deadline—but screw it: I'm rooting like hell for Matthew McConaughey, who's in good position after his win at the Independent Spirit Awards last night.
Why? As you can see, the dude literally has (or had—these shots are a couple years old) a bitchin' Camaro.
With T-Tops.
I'm biased, of course. The 1980 Z/28 sports one of my all-time-favorite graphics packages, and some of the coolest stock wheels ever bolted to a GM car. (In keeping with the Camaro theme, I nominate the IROC-Z rims as second coolest, but I digress...)
SplashIn its promotional materials, GM called the '80 Z/28 "The Maximum Camaro" despite its 350-CID V8 making just 190 hp. No matter. Style goes a long way.
SplashJust ask McConaughey, who could end up with a little gold statue riding shotgun under the L.A. sun and those open T-Tops.
