Congrats RJ! My fiance and I have never had any of our cars in a magazine - we've seen my fiance's friends in lots of magazines. I wonder if the Chevelle will get in an article written about the MCACN show that we participated in a month ago.

It only got in cause they were doing a "Let's See Your Project." I sent in pics cause I figured this car was just as much a project as any of them. :) It's nice that my last CCI magazine, my car's in it. |
Thats sweet, order another copy then when its done frame the page and set it next to the car in a show :D
|
Nice idea Brock. Maybe incorporate the page into one of those info boards when you're at shows.

I want to drive the cas "As is." Debbie says, "Do as much work to the car before you start driving it."
Sure it sounds like good advice on her part. But.......... I want people to see the car's beginning. So often all you see is the finished product. Most have no clue what it takes to build a car? They watch oveRHaulin and think "If they can built it in 7 days, why is it taking you 7 years?" Oh. Let's see? 1. a build team. 2. money. 3. parts. 4. Money. 5. tools to complete the work. 6. MONEY.. 7. etc......... I would drive the car as is too. And I'd have a decal that reads, "Rat Rod '57" put on the trunk lid. lol |
congrats on the magazine coverage RJ. :)
and i honestly think you ought to drive the blue sedan the way it is, people at shows eat cars like that right up. that's actually become the plan with our '57 wagon, we just went through the brake system a couple of months back, and about a month ago my dad bought a set of 4 14in tires for it, to go on his old set of torq thrust knock off wheels and onto the car. traded our way into a 650 holly manual choke that's now setting on top of the torquer intake, new clutch, and rear diff seal last spring, plugs & wires last winter.... all that's left is to get the wipers hooked up :) won't be pretty, but sure is cool :D |
Good job RJ!

VERY cool, RJ ... congratulations!!!
