I thought it just said a name plate not currently in the line up... meaning it could be an older plate brought back.

Either the Nova or the Chevy Canyonero.

NEW Nameplate is how I originally read it too. Now all a y'all are playin' into my hopes and I'm thinking they might bring back an old one. And this car is supposed to be a low production, just for NASCAR thing. So I really think its gotta be the MonteCarlo. The MonteCarlo is the most infamous Chevy of NASCAR lore...

I also read it as just simply as one NOT CURRENTLY BEING USED, which is why they mentioned the Impala/Malibu as examples of what it WON'T be.

I read it the same as Chibi Mike. A name plate not currently in use. So for that matter, it could be a limited production model like a Gran National or Trans Am. But I highly doubt they would use either one of them.

And really doubt they would use the Corvair name. Considering the whole "Unsafe At Any Speed" thing, that ended the model in the first place.

They'll most likely use what ever new sedan GM is trying to hock on customers next. Probably won't have any kind of performance history to it at all.

Would be interesting if they tried to use the Volt name on a Nascar. To boost sales, and bring attention to their efforts at "being green".

What ever they come up with, I hope it looks bad *** and the street version performs like an mf'er. Don't just throw some other bland rental car-bound piece of crap out there.
