Tonight began work on the wife's Impala. Rear end is in the air, calipers off. One of them had brake fluid built up pretty good in the dust boot. The piston came out fine, but the dang bleeder screw was seized. The other one, the bleed screw came out, tomorrow, i will pop the piston out.
I'm going to hit the junk yard Sunday for a candidate to replace the caliper that has the busted bleed screw (as nothing it getting that thing out).
Tomorrow, I will test the bleed screw on the caliper I will need to bleed for the line repair.
Pads, rotors and goodies to rebuild the rear calipers are enroute thanks to MCF sponsor, RockAuto.com!

Good morning everyone.
Got rid of a major thorn in my side yesterday. Today is the first day I can say one of the bad experiences in my life is finally gone. And I can move on now.
On the first day of my vacation from work. Not going anywhere. Just nice to be able to sleep at night and enjoy the day. Then I can return to work refreshed in about a week and a half.

Just checking in. Hope to get my roof rails on this weekend. Still trying to get the old adhesive off one of them. It seems to have crystalized into like a hard resin type consistency. Afraid to use heat gun too high and warp the rail. Adhesive remover cant even get under this stuff. So weird.

When the factory roof mouldings cracked and peeled on my Monte, I replaced them with brand new roof mouldings. But left them unpainted. They come black. But more like they satin black on the mouldings around your windows. I like the look of the roof with the mouldings black instead of all red.

Black roof rails do look good on cars other than black. I am going to try to do something different to them so they dont get lost in the black of my car....... if I ever get the adhesive off this one, lol.

I do agree though, the black does look so sharp on red and yellow cars.

Good Morning Everyone!
Beautiful Morning here in Kansas. Interesting find in Oklahoma yesterday... Maybe those families can finally get some closure:
