Well, I got word for D&S (body shop that currently has my Monte). They got authorization from State Farm to replace the front bumper cover and re-check/straighten the front end as it should have been in the first place.
So this is GREAT news. I have a contact at D&S helping look out for my interest (a former neighbor) and the manager sounds like he's a real straight shooter.
So far, I am very happy!! Hopefully soon it will be right again.

Hi `Jason,
Your persistence has paid `off to get your Monte repaired the way it should have been repaired the first time.
To many settle for less & give `up on getting the poor quality work that they have paid for...It's great to read that your efforts were not in vain.
I hope everything goes well & that your Monte comes back better then it was 4-Sure > Good Luck & keep us all updated > Thanks

Hey Mike - I've been around. The Mustang might be getting traded in for a GT - depends on if my dealer can track down the California Special in Deep Impact Blue that I want. I'm sick and tired of being ignored because I own 2 V-6s. I get absolutely no respect around here - hence never entering any of my cars in participant judged show. Maybe I should move. I also want to get a low mileage one cause I know I'm not going to like the 2015 Mustang along with a ton of other people who like the retro look. The Monte is going to one more show and then I need to do a couple of things to it before I store it to get a jump on next year's Monte Nats.

I'm having a headache trying to figure out the Cruze's fuel mileage lately. I know a lot can factor into mpg numbers but, in general, it seems like even with highly similar driving style/conditions I get significant fluctuations between fill ups. For instance, two tanks ago I got 35.0 mpg (MI gas), then my last tank was 31.7 mpg (OH gas). If anything I figured my last tank should have been better than the previous because I had more continuous highway driving. Both were on the same brand of gas (I fill up at Speedway 99% of the time). Both tanks were what I would consider highly similar driving conditions (i.e. same amount of highway driving at the same speed, light acceleration from stops/slow speeds) so I don't get why I would see as much as a 10% fluctuation. This goes for comparing most of my fill ups as well, not just these last two.
Only thing I can think of is it's possibly a specific station's fuel or fuel differences per state.
By the way, 35.0 mpg is my second best (35.6 is my best; June '13).

Good luck getting that GT Would you still be able to drive it in the winter
So I just changed the belt on the Monte, and my squealing seems to have gone away. Unfortunately the weather is going to be terrible the next few days, and then I'm going to Virginia for the weekend for a wedding, so I just go the Monte running well, and it is back under the cover until next week

Had a pretty good day today. Work was slow, meaning I only had to thoroughly inspect 20 pieces instead of 30. And I got some good info from a Very knowledgeable member. And I bought some car stuff at Pepboys with my $100 rewards card. The told me I have another $10 coming. Free car stuff money, I Love it!
Hope Everyone's day was as good, if not Better, than mine. Have a good night everyone!

Yes the Mustang will still be the daily driver - I need to find a GT without the track pack cause then my winter rims won't fit (brake upgrade).
