Bob Welch Commits Suicide

I haven't been paying much attention to the news the last couple of days and heard today that Bob Welch took his own life last Thursday. Bob was one of the original members of Fleetwood Mac and inspired me to learn how to play guitar. Although he has been laying low these last few years he will be greatly missed by many. Rest in Peace, Bob. May the gentle winds carry your spirit...

It's a shame, he probably felt like he had no where to turn for help even tho he had many fans and people who loved him

Hi `Mike,
It's sad when any person takes their own life :(
Bob Welch was before my time, but I'm sure his music & talent will live on in the minds of those that knew him and enjoyed his talent...

To me when someone dies by accident, naturally, or by suicide that it is a reminder to live & extract the most from each day that we get.

There is no guarantee that we will all live up to a projected old age, we must live our `present, our NOW
Rest in Peace Bob Welch

A note left indicates that he was not recovering well from spinal surgery and he 'didn't want to be a burden' to his wife. Bob's Father was an invalid and he watched his Mother care for him for many years. I guess he didn't want to put his wife in the same position his Mother had been in. This is just so out of character it is difficult to comprehend.

 Thanks Mike for the additional information...I don't believe in suicide, but I understand his reasoning for not wanting to be a burden to others he loved.

I've know a few senior citizens that ended their life because they could no longer live a independent life & ended theirs :( because of their intense pains from disease :( or major health issues..

Is it wrong ? I don't know ? I hope I never have to make that decision 4-Sure, but what `if ?
