Another RIP to let you all be aware of butch049
 

R.I.P. butch049:(

Well this really sucks, I was thinking about last year and there was a Car show about 100 miles south of me in Concordia, Kansas and the member butch049 had asked me about going down.
So I was not seeing any posts about it and I recalled that he said he worked at O'Reillys Auto parts ion Concordia.
So I looked the store up and called them and they said he passed away last December.
I will add a few photo's that butch049 had shared.
This is the weekend for the show and town celebration.
Anyway just wanted to let you all know that butch049 has passed away. R.I.P. butch049 :(
So last year the rains came and he said not to get the Car dirty .
Not sure if he was even going to go in the Rain.

I had no idea. Very sad news.

It makes you really think about the friends not here on the forum anymore...

Yeah I know what you mean. I had thought he would be posting something about a few Car shows earlier this summer but nothing and then I was thinking this one would be in Concordia, KS and the weather was good I thought about making the trip. So he always said he worked at O'Reilly's Auto parts and I called to double check if he was there. The folks there said he was a delivery parts guy but he had passed back in December.
Anyway I feel terrible that I just didn't go even in the rain he might have been there? :(

Oh man, this explains why I have not noticed anything new from Butch in a while. I feel so bad. Thanks for following up and passing this unfortunate news.

Oh my heaven, that is a real shocker to learn he passed. As far as gung ho owners he rated right up there with there best of them. This is more than sad, not fair. Bummed me out reading this, I always felt like Butch came across as a good egg here on the forum. R.I.P. dear fellow Monte Carlo SS owner...:( You had an awesome Monte Carlo brother, as clean as they come, great curb appeal. Job well done there troop, now move out smartly, the heavens call your name.

Ah geez. I remember Butch. Nice guy. Sorry to hear the world lost another gear head. There must be a heck of a car meet up in heaven.
