I imagine it's one of the smaller outland island-ish countries that don't have room for a refinery, lol. Imagine, having to have fuel refined, then shipped there... be like double the cost. Refined fuels are much more dangerous to haul than regular old crude.

I've been told that Britain has the highest priced gas, because it's an island. But I'm not sure how true that is. I've also been told that this is one reason why most Brits drive small cars. The other reason being the narrowness of England's older streets.

Ian -- If I were you, I would love to say, "Enjoying living in a free country?.......Your welcome!" Then drive off.

Taz,

You should see some of the incredible rides guys from England have built.

One Chevy Talk member (Paul) has a smoking '56 Chevy that he just trashed a Furd 9" rear. Blew the complete gear set right out of it.
A couple of times he's smoked the transmission in the car.

Adam has a '55 Chevy and 3 '57s. One was pro build. He got everything but the engine with the car and he has a killer big block going in it.

They might be worried about gas prices but too much.

Yeah, but gallons in Canada go farther. My Monte range is about 300 miles comfortably before I fill up with about 14.5 gallons. In Canada you guys get almost 500 kilometers out of the same. I would gladly take that 500 range over my 300 range any day of the week. :)
Kinda like the McKenzie Brothers' theory of the metric six-pack. :)

I don't understand current gas prices...I noticed regular at $2.51 yesterday in my hood. Perhaps Congress has threatened the oil companies (seriously and quietly) with a substantial windfall profits tax.

Sorry..
LOL! ..
Does anybody know what country has the most expensive gasoline?

The cost of gas itself does not vary that much worldwide, with a few exceptions. However, the price at the pump varies significantly, and the difference is TAXES. Those countries with more social programs, such as England and Canada as just two examples, have much higher gas taxes. Gotta pay for all that "free" stuff somehow. Check it out - you'll be amazed.
