Heres a great site.
Select ontario average, canadian average, and the USA average, and you'll be shocked to find the US average is 2.74 a gallon. In canada we pay 3.61 per gallon.

Ok, look at Illinois' tax structure. Back in oh say around the summer of 2000 I could fill up in Iowa for like 2$ mid grade E10, 2.05 low grade 87, and 2.10 premium.
In Illinois? It would be 2.25 low grade, 2.35 Mid grade E10, and 2.55 Premium.
in Iowa it was only 10 cents difference from the cheapest to the most expensive... in Illinois? 30 cents. The better the grade, the more tax.
I always tried to avoid filling up in Illinois... Plus their cops are a-holes

Aint that the truth. I remeber being pulled over by the illinois police and being asked, "Whatchall doin with those?" I was in my uniform, driving my olive drab tractor, and trailer with 3 m109 howitser artillery guns.
I simply answered. "Goin huntin!"
That was a $75.00 fine.. lol but worth evey penny.

Another one I hate is going across the US border in Michigan. I allwwwwayys get the one that asks me, "You Canadian?" As I drive across the border with the Huge Olive drab tractor trailer with the canada flags on them, and the canada liscense plates, hauling all of the canadian military kit, and im dressed in my uniform with the canadian flag on my shoulder. But what totally urks me is the way back. i always get the bonehead that asks me "Can I see some ID?"
Anyhow back to the topic of gas. Typically if you do at all the math, on the average, canadians pay 10-20 more cents per litre of gas then our good buddies down south.I dont complain much about my monte as is, im getting aroung 800kms to a tank on the highway and about 550-600 mixed.
(Providing I keep my foot out of it for at least half of the time.)

Went to Dairy Queen last evening for their weekly thursday cruise-in. Wal-Marts gas stationis right next door.
We were inside DQ eating and my g/f says "Hey, they're changing the price of gas over there."
We watched as they changed theprice of regular from$2.61 to$2.59/gal.
Okay by me. [sm=goodidea.gif][sm=icon_cheers.gif]
