It's an okay car overall but I also agree with it not selling very well. The starting price doesn't help any, which is what doomed the SSR from the start.

As it stands now, this car is named after a trim level. I almost get the feeling they expect this car to be temporary so they didn't bother to give it an actual name.

Also, added more pictures to post #1.

This exactly let me down. I wanted a g8 but decided to wait till the ss came out but no manual transmission, no distinct look, no upgrades ( i.e base, gt, GXP) avaliabe accept a sunroof. I dont really see this making the 20,000 cars a year like chevy wants

Ha actually yeah, but at least they added an "R" behind the "SS".

Honestly, the "R" on the SSR's that I've seen in person, look too much like the "Type R" decals you can get from PepBoys and Auto Zone. It was a cool idea. But kind of a niche market.

I think GM knew there were people that were fans of the G8, and wished it never got axed when Pontiac went away. I think GM got greedy. They should've made the Chevy SS the new Impala; with multiple trim lines. Including an SS.

But instead, GM went with both. A new Impala, and the Chevy SS.
