The LFX and other direct injected engines suffer HORRIBLY from carbon build-up from oil deposits from the PCV system. GM recommends that you take apart and clean the UIM every 30k miles.

This sits in between the PCV system and the UIM. It grabs and condenses 95% of oil and other nasty stuff before it enters your engine again. It only allows the gases to go through where they can be burned off properly.

I'll be installing the CAI and TB tomorrow....err Today
