Although my team failed to make it for the first time in 11yrs, I'll still follow March Madness this year..... I know there are a few of the members here that have an interest this year also, feel free to make some posts and we can get this years Madness off and running.........:thumbsup:

I don't watch any basketball at all NCAA or NBA, I don't even follow it, but I'll throw it out there Go Michigan and Michigan State.

If KU didn't get beat by Baylor they probably would have been a #1 seed - #2 ain't bad though. They will probably get beat by N Carolina if they get that far.

My Hoosiers got the toughest bracket. They'll have to go through either UK or UConn and most likely either Duke or Baylor. After I finish this stuff for the Army I'll be putting my bracket together. Maybe it'll survive the first two rounds unlike the last two years.

My bracket is done. Finished it this morning before I went to bed. I'm not very happy that Indiana's opener is after I'll be at work. We start at 830 and it tips off at 845 Thursday ugh.

No bracket for me this year, I just didn't follow the hoops much this year because my team sucked....:(

Biggest of the night was 2 seed Duke losing to 15 seed Lehigh (to bad coack K)......:congrats:I never really did care much for Duke. And 2 seed Missouri lost to 15 seed Norfolk State......:wtf:

Indiana play very sharp last night. They play at 610 tomorrow night against VCU. That won't be a cakewalk. But as long as they win they'll get to play UK again and prove that lightning does indeed strike twice.

Sarge, you have to keep this thread going, let's hope Indiana keeps on winning then you'll keep this alive.........:)

Next up Notre Dame vs Xavier, I'm going with Xavier in that one.....:thumbsup:

Unfortunately the Bulls are doing better than the Hawks this year. I'm not a fan of pro Basketball.

Picked that one right and KU moves on to play Purdue..

I won the work pool lastyear for about $300 without even having to worry about the final game with all the upsets! It kinda looks like that is the way it's gonna go this year also in terms of high seeds winning.....:thumbsup:

Oh there will be a lot of chatter in this thread as long as Indiana takes care of business tomorrow (well today actually). They tip off at 610. As long as they take care of business and Kentucky avoids the upset bug, it'll set up a rematch (Indiana beat Kentucky 73-72 in December). UK has improved since then but so has IU. Indiana is no longer dependent on the 3 (as Ohio State found out the hard way when they drove into the lane and scored on Sullinger several times) and they are a very well rounded team. But, like I said, they have to take care of business tomorrow first.

All the Ohio teams are still in it :) I think only OSU will make it through to the elite eight though. I think OU, Xavier, and Cinci will fall this round. It was great to see OU, a little MAC school, oust Michigan haha.

WOW what a game last night - Jayhawks down by 1 with 2 min left and they came back an won by 3 - what a nail biter!!!!!!

I didn'te get a chance to see that game but I was checking the score occasionally, glad they won for you Amy.....

I was very scared for my Jayhawks Chris.

Been there, done that.....That's probably one of the biggest things I miss since my mom passed away...We loved our sports teams here, she took me to a few baseball home openers over the years when I was younger.....:) Back then it was probably only 4 or 5 but it seems like it was more as I get older....

I've always been very close to my Dad - he'd take me to the Cubs games (always planed that the St Louis Cards were playing at Wrigley). He also coached my softball team for 4 years. I think I turned him into a Jayhawk fan LOL - he really enjoys it. I was close to my Mom but she wasn't into sports.
I don't know what I'd do if I lost my Dad.

Syracuse, ... Hello SYRACUSE?!?!?! @zenloser, @MntCrlo427,MonteSSS, etc. They are not "MY" team, or "OUR" team, but they are the best in the area, & living 6 miles from the Carrier Dome, where the 2nd BEST team in the nation plays its homers, ... I think I am allowed to 'cluck' a 'lil now & again.

Indiana plays Kentucky at 845pm Friday night. I know where I'll be at that time LOL. Sitting in front of my TV drinking a beer. Go Hoosiers!!!

Thursday means more hoops games in action tonight... Looks like a #1 went down tonight, 1 seed Michigan St. went down to 4 seed Louisville 57-44.....:eek: and 1 seed Syracuse held off 4 seed Wisconsin 64-63. Looks like it's gonna be a late night for Amy, her team (2 seed Kansas) doesn't play until 10:17pm Friday against 11 seed NC State and Sarges team (4 seed Indiana) plays at 9:45pm Friday against 1 seed Kentucky. Both of those games should be pretty good battles.....

Since I'm unemployed, this is the first year I've been able to watch all of the games on CBS. It's been a BLAST!

One of my heart-related forums always does brackets on Yahoo ... and I played again this year. My brackets, however, aren't doing too well. For our original one (with all 64 teams), I'm currently 32-25 w/119 total points possible. The leader is 42-16, but only has 99 total points possible...LOL! In our "second chance" bracket (for the Sweet 16 teams), I'm currently 7-3 w/64 total points possible. The leader is 8-2 w/120 total points possible.

My Jayhawks almost blew it again UGGGG! They suck at free throws - as long as I can remember they sucked at it. Now on to NC YIKES!!!!!!!!!

Kansas did prety good today......:thumbsup: I saw about the last 15 minutes of it and it was awesome how they pulled ahead on NC........

Pretty sure the Kansas crowd in St Louis was louder than the Kentucky crowd in Atlanta. That's saying something considering both teams were playing about the same distance from their respective schools and Kentucky is known for how their fan base travels.

That was some game - Kansas brought their A game for sure! Here's my good luck charm and I'm going to need it! New Orleans is very far from Kansas. If they go to the finals the "home crowd" will be rooting for Kentucky or Louisville .

Looking forward to the 2 games this Saturday, though since we'll have family in from California, not sure if I'll be able to watch them or not. We shall see.... BUT, I will definitely watch the Championship game Monday.
