Recently they dropped off two convertible versions of their latest take on the Chevrolet Camaro, a SC572 manual, and slightly less potent SC552 automatic.
Callaway's Powerfully Engineered Camaros start with two versions of Chevy's 6.2-liter small block V8, completely re-engineered to sport Callaway's signature roots-style supercharged formula. The LS3 6-speed manual SC572 roars with a namesake 572-horsepower, while the L99 6-speed automatic peaks at 552.
That puts them only a tick one side or the other of 4 seconds from 0 to 60. And that's a full second faster than a stock SS droptop.

My roots run with Chevy....

Mustang as I know the camaro will be to expensive.

I have never owned a ford why start now.

It pains me to say it, but of the two I have to go Mustang. That kind of horse power in a convertible would scare the liquids out of me.

Definitely don't want to be found. On. Road. Dead.

Boss hands down. High revving V8, YES PLEASE. The camaro is just too porky. That and the roofline is terrible. Not enough glass. Just doesnt look right.

I think the Mustang is better looking and probably more roomier. The Camaro has just not grew on me.

I'd have to vote for the Boss and I've seen one in person too!

Hard choice but I'd prob have to go with the Camaro just bcuz I love it so much lol I've seen a new Boss in person too & was kind of disappointed tbh with the looks...looked absolutely retarded without having fog lights where they are suppose to be

The race versions of this car didn't have the fogs, or they were screened out. So to me this looks more authentic and true to the originals that were raced.

Neither, id go for a ZL1 Camaro cuz the callaway is gonna be higher priced & u can get 600+ outa the ZL1 with a few small priced add ons

i would probably go mustang. i bet that camaro is ridiculously overpriced since it has the callaway name and i could dump that much in the mustang and make it probably faster

The Callaway is $18K over the price of a Base S.S. :eek: WoW..

I'd rather have a Camaro Coupe over the convertible model, but I do like the BOSS : )...I'd love to test drive them both, but I'm a dreamer & will drive them both in my `dreams :)

Edmunds reviews the Supercharged Callaway Camaro


Edmunds has tested the 2010 Callaway Cars SC572 Camaro SS (L99). In sum, they have called the Callaway SC572 Camaro “about as good as a street-able, supercharged Camaro SS can be.”
What impresses Edmunds most however, isn’t the individually impressive power, brakes, suspension, or other upgraded aspect of this super Camaro, but the sum of its parts, result in what Edmunds calls a “completely engineered automobile.”

Camaro for me all day long over the Mustang !! The wife would love the mustang it is a great Girl car LOL

I'd go GT500 because it's more of a direct competitor of the Callaway.

I gotta go with the boss 302. I love the camero but for the price its just not that much more aggressive then the mustang. I have seen the calloway up close and its nice but really doesnt differ in the looks of a normal camaro. The one i sawwas for $80,000!!!!!....due to the fact it also was only 1 off i think 1,000 with the custome color with ghost stipes and custome interrior but ha ha ha NO. i would drive eaither one though lol so if someone wants to give me the camaro i will not say no. :)
