2011 Hunting Season
I know this can be a bad topic in some peoples minds, but i was just wanting to see if there is any fellow hunters out there and if they got anything this season:)
Post picsss tooo:p |
probibly one of the worst seasons up at my buddie's camp this year... usually everyone has their tags filled within the first few day's, this year the damn coyote's aparently moved in and scared the deer away. the guy's still managed to get a nice 200lb doe, 250lb 6 point buck, and a couple of tiny doe's.
i don't have my hunting license, mostly head up there as an excuse to get out of the house and walk around my buddie's awsome property with my friends... and also get some great grub! |

Nice! Yeah I probably got about $200 worth of jerky out of it, a **** ton of ground meat, some backstraps, few other goodies as well.
May do some more hunting next year, this year I literally had to wait 10min for my doe to die, I shot her straight through the next and made a huge exit wound but she tried getting back up for 10min, unfortunately/fortunately she was paralyzed, felt kinda bad because I should had just taken her out of her misery but I didn't want to screw the shot up and hit the intestines if she moved when I made the 2nd shot, so I just waited it out |
I had a good shot about 25 yards away and she died in about 45 seconds

i'll be out finding one more doe before the season's up these next couple of days. Don't think i'll be able to top last years shot.
243 winchester from about 80-90 yards away, straight between the ribs, through the heart and out between the ribs w/ out hitting a bone  ruined practically NO meat, and died instantly. Right after i shot, she jumped a little, reared up on her hind legs and fill over backwards. It was amazing :D made for some nice sticks/jerkey |
