I went and got the car for a few hours.

My local Chevy dealer said so far the car has gotten:
New catalytic converter at 47,000 mile.
New intake at 27,000 miles
Some part of the wiring was replaced at 27,000 miles.
Intermediate shaft for steering at 22,000 miles.
Some part of the wiring for the trans was replaced at 22,000 miles.
And a few other smaller things I can't recall right now were replaced.

In a short while I'm taking to my favorite body shop so they can look it over. Not sure if I said this, but I founf out the car was hit in the front. The entire front end has been repaired.

Here you can see where the car was lifted against the body kit. Pass side is the same.

 

what'd they say when you asked them if it has been in an accident, up here it HAS to be disclosed if the vehicle has been in an accident or the person could sue you...nice looking monte still

So far no price. (they said to me several times "What will you give for it?")

I asked if the car had ever been in an accident and they responded it had the pass front fender replaced and some damage was done to the "A" pillar. Then I found out the entire front sheet metal was repaired.

It does come with a 3 month, 3,000 mile warranty. But they only pay 50% of repairs.

 

was the air bag light on?

its so easy to hide that stuff no adays because the aftermarket parts fit so good its hard to tell

man that car would look nice with a set of 18's on it

what do you think its worth? knowing its been in an accident for me that car being an 01 is now worth maybe 3500-7000$

 

i'm not a fan of those rims... weird. i don't know what i think of the different monte carlo letters... distinct, different.. but silver would have worked better?

i say get it anyway... we'll have to race sometime RJ

 

Give them $3500 with the damaged body kit and $4000 if they replace the damaged areas. )

In Cali, repairs under $500 don't have to be disclose by the dealer.

 

 

yeah RJ.. i say go for it, add to the collection.. you need a good 6th generation in your collection...

of course, it's not as beautiful as my 6th generation, but she'll do [sm=smiley17.gif]
