weight

hi everyone... thanks to all for advise on removing weight .. ive now went as far as removing the impact beams and guts out of the doors etc . believe it or not it added up to 56 pounds per door ! have lexan glass ordered for at least the door windows and back isde widows. so that should be a few more pounds off..... also have ordered some lakewood 50/50 shocks for the rear for a bit better launch. . will also be running 2 stages of nos this year so i hope i will be low 6's in the 1/8th.........any preference on hoosier drag slicks or mickey thompson?? found the m/t's to be a little iffy from track to track..........first race of the year is may 5th woo woo cant wait!!! cheers for now:thumbsup:

Excellent that you were creative enough to really dig into your car and find ways to trim away additional weight. Nice that your adding the Lexan as well. Good move.

The shop who built my Monte all they run are MT's on their dragster, but then of course they get them free from MT. But with that being said, Paul did take Top Dragster in 2012, so the MT's did their primary job.

Best of luck to you this upcoming race season...... Be safe and hope you kick some booty.... :) :)

Since your running 50/50's on the rear....

Have you considered some 90/10's on the front?

Lexan reduces weight. But when it breaks it turns into large jagged shards. Just something to keep in mind.
