Swapping parts

I own a 2005 monte Carlo LS was in an accident and looking to purchase a 2000 same colour!! Need to replace hood!

Would a 2000 hood fit my 2005?

ChibiBlackSheep 05-29-2018 09:31 AM

Yes, all body panels should bolt up no problem.

There are subtle differences between the 2000 and 2005, but the hood is not one of them.

So the hood would work? Yes or no?

ChibiBlackSheep 05-29-2018 09:41 AM

Yes. That was my first remark:)

Thank you kindly 😬 your wording kinda confused me!

Changing hood

Is this something I can do myself ( with help of course)?

How much was damaged? Were your fenders and everything knocked off alignment?

Hoods should just be 2 bolts on each side, align, then tighten it down. Great with 3 people, doable with 2.

Fenders are fine, hood took it all!
