Suspension help

Hi Everyone,
i have a 1971 Chevy Monte Carlo I’m putting 22 inch iroc wheels the same size front and back.
i now know I need to raise the front end two to three inches, I have a small block 350 engine, I was thinking of putting springs for a 454 big block on my car to raise it up.
Does anyone agree or disagree or know of a better method, please let me know I am in need. P does anyone agree or disagree or know of a better method, please let me know I am in need. Fasfred.

Putting big block springs should raise it some , not sure if you'll get 3 inches. Wondering what size tire your planning on running

The tires are 265/35r22 iroc wheels.
2 will niches would be great.
the stock springs are yay above the bolt that secures the wheel well.

Tire's should be pretty close to fitting but the width might cause a problem. I used this link https://tiresize.com/calculator/ . I know that your car came with bias ply tires but a 225/75/15 is a comparable size too give you a starting point. Looks like the 22 is about 1 inch taller and 1 1/2 inches wider. Good luck and get some pics of your car up for us.

Hi,
I looked up the stock tire size that came on the car factory, it is 215/75/R15 (28.3 inches in height). 8.5 inch wide rim
The rims 22 inch IROC wheels and tires 265/30/zr22 (28.3 inches in height) 10.5 inch wide rim

Right now when I install the rims and tires on the car in the front it fits and I can drive it, but running over bumps and dips the tire will hit the wheel well and possible rub on the outer wheel well bolt that fasten the wheel well to top of finder.

Two or three inches higher would be great.

I'm going to put the heavy duty springs for the same year but instead of the springs being for a small block engine it will be for a 454 big block engine.
Hopefully this will give me the clearance that I need, that why I was asking has anyone done this task before, and I appreciate all your help.

Hit me back with suggestions please.

Thanks.
