Southern California noob here, '76 Monte

Greetings from the heart of "The Hills Have Eyes" country, Lucerne Valley, CA. 29 year old veteran, life long hot rod enthusiast and musician. Spent most of my childhood at Pomona Winter National's watching my Uncle race some seriously wicked Mopars and Bow Ties. This is my FIRST Monte Carlo (definitely not my last). Picked it up recently from a person who neglected it pretty bad (sold it to me with a blown head gasket, took me 40 miles to find out). 350 sb with later year heads, 750 quadrajet, RV cam, long tube headers, th350 stall converter and shift kit, 3.55 gears in the rear end. Racing buckets and harnesses, full Borla center dumb exhaust, transmission brace, sway bars all the way round, blah blah blah. I'm sure I'm forgetting a bunch. Anyways, she's a work in progess and a LOT of fun to drive!

Here in the next few weeks comes an Edelbrock dual plane aluminum intake, tires, shocks, Weld Pro Stars, Heater Box Delete and Firewall patch, B&M Mega Shifter in the original console, catalytic converter delete, Summit Classic Cam, and lots more.

Hoping I can use this forum for tech help, too!

Welcome.
Sounds like a nice ride, wish we could see the pic's. Thank Photobucket for changing their policy so you now have to pay to share, but you can upload them directly to this site and store them in your "Garage". Sorry to hear about the head gasket.
My first Monte was a '76 Landau. Unfortunately, many of them have ended up in demolition derby's.

Ahhh bummer. Just created a garage and was able to upload pics, thanks.

I saw seven there. Very nice ride! Truely miss the one I had, love how they float down the highway at 120 MPH :rotfl::rolleyes:
