Replacing fuel pump....OMG
Well Monte forum I just found out that my 2005 MC SS supercharged doesn't have access point in trunk under carpet. I guess they forgot to cut out that area for pump replacement at the factory what a bummer, gonna have to drop tank now.🙁 Was hoping to do this as easy as it has been for alot who own a MC! If anyone has some quick idea to do this process quicker I'd appreciate it thanks.

Sadly I recently researched this for another member. From 2000-2004, GM has the access hatch. In 2005, GM stopped with the hatch, back to dropping the tank.

Thank you Maniac that's what i figured i was gonna have to do, what a bummer, my problem is that i keep getting a code P0107 which is lean on bank 1, I've replaced all my vacuum hoses, replaced Egr valve, MAF sensor which needed to be replaced, fuel regulator, and fuel filter, then checked fuel pressure was showing to be @41psi requires to be at 59psi to operate correctly due to fuel/air ratio. So that tells me pump is going bad, have been having issues with car trying to die while in idle. Just wanna fix this issue, ive had for over a yr now. Just bought Delphi fuel pump @ Autozone for $246.00, so im gonna change it out hope this fixes my problem!

According to the GM Shop Book, code P0107 is "Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor Circuit Low Voltage" and code P0171 is "Fuel Trim System Lean Bank 1". Before you go dropping the tank, I would first re-verify the code you are getting.
And food for thought before you try dropping a tank, looking at DTCs P0107 and P0171, neither of them say anything about working on the fuel pump. I attached the shop book data.
