New from Seattle

Hey everyone. I just got my 1984 Monte Carlo back and decided to join the forum here. I've got some pics and a brief description in my album. Feel free to check it out. Here's a pic of my MC and my Cobalt SS Supercharged.

HAHA nice!! What area are you from? I'm originally from the Rainier Beach area but now I stay in Normandy Park/Des Moines.

Thank you

ChibiBlackSheep 11-22-2011 12:51 PM

Welcome! Very nice cars!

I do really like that Cobalt. I was looking into the SC ones for a fun daily, but they kept wanting way too much for them.

nizzle 11-22-2011 12:55 PM

Thank you very much. Yea they are really fun little cars. Mine is modded pretty heavily (323 WHP/13.5 @ 107 in the quarter spinning in 1st and 2nd) and its kind of a beast to drive but I do hurt A LOT of feelings with it LOL!

I'm originally from the West Seattle area, but now in South Seattle in the Boulevard Park area. We're not that far apart...maybe one of these days we can meet in Burien for a cup of coffee.

Yeah, I just wanted one as a quick little mod project while I did the Turbo build on my Monte. But then I got the Camaro to play with, while I turbo the Monte lol.

The Camaro was a good choice! How's the turbo build coming along?

nizzle 11-29-2011 11:16 AM

Thanks everyone. And as far as the tinted windows, I am seriously considering getting that done, but I'm just a little worried about the extra attention from police that tinted windows bring

Depends on area and how picky your cops are. I will not lie, with tinted tails and windows, I have had the cops follow me but not pull me over. Of course it also depends on how much attention your gas pedal gets also. In my area tinted windows is more common so it doesn't stand out as much as if I went to a place where very few or no cars had tinted windows. I would say, if 50% or more of the cars you see on the road have tinted windows then the police would probably not really miss with you. But that is your call.
