Are you kidding? You'd be in more trouble if you didn't.

Welcome David. Congrats on the new-to-you Monte. Even though your driving a 7th gen Monte now. I have to admit I'm a big fan of the 4th gens.

My Monte was a trade-in on a Jeep at a dealer in East Peoria IL. I talked to the previous owner who only drove it to work 2-3 days a week. Never driven on out of town trips. It has been meticulously maintained. The only reason they traded it was they had to transport the wife's elderly parents- needed a 4-door.

The dealer did their usual inspection and didn't like the tire noise coming from the 7,500 mile Goodyears so they replaced them with Pirelli all season. Probably Pirelli's cheapest tire but can't argue with new.
Sounds good, cool that you were able to talk to the previous owner, that is why I like buying from an owner, but sometimes you find a gem on the lot, like you did with your MC. The 74 was my car in High School and beginning of College, it has been gone for sometime now, but I am continuing the legacy, my son will drive the 02 MC in 2 years when he starts to drive.

I try to stay away from Wal-Mart, I think I have been in that store 3-4 times, usually when I have a Wal-Mart gift card from Charter or something, but I am a the Costco every week.

That Vette is beautiful!!!

I still don't understand the reasoning behind putting the stripes on the passenger side as well, but it's still an amazing car.

I don't either but that was the design team's call. I considered putting it on the driver's side only but then some might ask, "Why isn't it on both sides?", as they do when looking at a '96 Grand Sport.
