New member from Michigan (71 Monte Carlo)
Stopping in to say hey. New first time Monte Carlo owner and I have to say I'm pretty excited. I fell into a 1971 Monte Carlo because I bought my dad a 1972 Olds Cutlass project car that we are working on and got jealous of how it was turning out. I wanted something of my own to cruise in instead of riding co-pilot
Its in decent shape but needs some body work, motor was rebuilt but could use some detailing under the hood and probably an oil change, maybe I'll get around to it after I get some more work done on my dads Cutlass!
Check out my album!

Thanks!
That car looks great! I love that color! The Cutlass I bought my dad is still a working project but should be ready by next summer. Going to be wrapping up the body work and interior this summer, then paint next spring! I just bought him the SSII wheels yesterday actually. The car is coming together well, I'm not having as much trouble finding parts as I thought I would!
Not sure why but its not allowing me to post attachments to threads yet but I'll be sure to post some of the Cutlass and My Monte Carlo to this thread ASAP

Hey another Michigan member, welcome! My Dad had a 72 Monte Carlo so I know all about the 1st Gens.
Actually, if you're interested, we're having a Meet in two weeks (Saturday, May 18th) in Charlotte, Michigan. All info is here > https://montecarloforum.com/forum/me...-2013-a-40788/.

Thanks for the welcome Everyone!
Appreciate all the welcomes! Good to find a place with more enthusiasts!
06mistreSS: I actually live in Lansing so that's not too far of a drive. I'll have to check my work schedule and see if I have that weekend off. Would love to come hang out.
ZIPPY02: Thanks for the welcome. Yes I joined the army in 2004 and got my Wings at Ft. Benning in 2005 and I served with the 82nd Airborne Div (4th Brigade 508th PIR) until I got out in 2008
Still trying to figure out why I cant post pics inside of the thread but I've got all my current pics in an album on my profile!
Again thanks for the Welcome everyone!
