Hi, My name is michael.

I have a 96 Z34 with 350k. it had some pretty severe tranny problems that im looking to get fixed, not sure if thats common on them? but it is a pretty high km car so you cant really expect it to have no problems. My father bought the car for 400$ which was a pretty good deal considering it has no rust whatsoever, and when he bought the tranny wasn't working because the stupid owner before us had very little fluid in the transmission, and thats probably what messed it up. I'll probably post some pics of it soon, its in really nice shape, but needs some mechanical work. Anyways i plan on getting it in prime condition again with the help of a some people on these forums xD

I believe he said Kilometers, which is about 217K Miles.

Still a high number though! Yes the trannies do have a few issues. But you should be able to find a used one and put that in for a lot cheaper than the cost of repair. I believe your Monte runs the 4t60e tranny.

Welcome...even at 217K that is some serious miles. Just take care of it, and it will keep running!

Welcome Michael to the MCF family. for clarity is that 350K km or mi?
Either way, that a LOT of miles, and it makes me feel good that a Monte with that many miles is still in such good shape. Monte's aren't know for their bulletproof tranny's, even the S/C cars with the 4T65E-HD cars like mine have issues. Fix it and move on. As long as the car isn't a rust bucket, it's worth fixin'
Got any pics of her? Where ya from?
