thank you for your comments. I want to find scholarships and get into the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Drawing and painting is my passion and I want to make some kind of career out of it..

I've checked out your artwork. You definately have talent. DO NOT let it get away from you. I noticed the metal sculptures that someone made from steel. Have you tried anything like that? Wood, etc?

never tried wood or metal sculptures, I don't have the right tools to get into that, but it would be neat to try sometime.
I have done clay sculptures a few times, and I enjoyed it, maybe I should get back into that.

2 dimensional art is nice and appreciated, but like your taxidermy work, it's 3 dimensional, has depth. There are so many mediums in art to work with. I'm a metal guy, myself. Tool and die moldmaker. Give me a napkin sketch and I'll build you a mold to make a million parts. I've spent years in design, but it's the hands on work, the finished parts, especially when you look on a dash or under the hood, and you can say, "Hey, I made that!" Pride is a major part of my career, not JUST the paycheck. Well, OK, NOW it's about the paycheck, but 30+ years ago, it was still fun. Pride is STILL important, tho.
