Headers are next on my parts list; including finally getting HP Tuners eventually as I need to get into tuning on my own. My goal has really been to get to this point. It was a pipe dream for forever (seemingly) to make it a SC 3.8; whether by top-swapping or L67 swap. After I finally did that, I was really getting excited at the idea of a 5-speed swap. I'm feeling pretty good at this point. I know that a manual is generally slower than a auto, but that's not my point to be the fastest; just fastER and fun at the same time. Heck, I've never even taken my car to a track before, despite urges from fellow gearhead friends. My next pipe dream (and ultimate goal) is (shhhhhh, secret) an LS4 swap while retaining the 284. I'm pretty confident in my abilities but still realize the challenge it presents. Anyway, here's a few pics

I just got a silver 04 Monte Carlo ss. I have stock rims and stero but I have 2 10s,which beats pretty hard.

I think the manual set up right would still be a challenge for the Automatic, I used to race Chevelles and Z 28's and they were 4 gears back then, folks would tell me it sounded like an automatic when I shifted it, I beat a lot of automatics all brands as well as mine. But the Z was the best. 70 1/2 was a screamer from off the lot. Nice Monte by the way keep up the good work.

Back from the dead. I've since moved, acquired different vehicles (and house) but I still have my Z34. My wife actually exclaimed that I had better not get rid of it (I won't). But anyway, some really crappy cell pics from last year showing beginning of some paint correction as the paint was haggard from years of hasty washes. I also finally got some SS wheels a couple years ago, and finally some spacers last year so I could run them. Currently the car is under wraps in the garage for the winter, but it'll be out again and I hopefully (and finally) have some good pics and a video

That's the best paint I've seen on a 5th gen SINCE 1998.
